The sloop Green Lantern is near and dear to all who have had the privilege of sailing aboard her. She was built when fiberglass was just becoming perfected as viable material for yachts. Her extra thick fiberglass shell affords her strength and durability while keeping her slender lines for speed. The Lantern is the perfect platform for day sails and overnight cruising. Overnight accommodations allow ample space for the crew to spread out and enjoy a good night at anchor or multi day transit.
The Green Lantern is certainly not a yacht; it is very much a work boat! Sail training and character building is her new work. You will find no self-tailing winches or deck chairs; all crew are engaged in every aspect of sailing operations. |
